How to Update M-Audio Oxygen Pro Firmware

This article covers Installing M-Audio Oxygen Pro Firmware, which should apply to all Oxygen Pro Models (Mini, 25-Key, 49-Key, 61-Key, and 88-Key).

Where to Download M-Audio Oxygen Pro Firmware?

It seems M-Audio changed their downloads page since making the video. Below are updated steps to download firmware. (Actually installing firmware should be the same as shown in the video).

To download latest Oxygen Pro Firmware, visit M-Audio Drivers & Downloads page.

Then, select your M-Audio Oxygen Pro model:

Then select your operating system (Windows or Mac), and you’ll see both the Latest Oxygen Pro Firmware, and the Oxygen Pro Preset Editor:

M-Audio Oxygen Pro Firmware Update Process:

IMPORTANT: Backup Custom Oxygen Pro Presets BEFORE updating firmware!

Follow the READ ME .PDF instructions in firmware download. I will not be liable for any damages to your Oxygen Pro 🙂.

Here’s the step-by-step firmware installation process:

1. Turn off the Oxygen Pro
2. Hold SHIFT, BANK <, and BANK >, and turn on Oxygen Pro MIDI Keyboard. (You’ll see “Oxygen Series Updating” mode on the Oxygen Pro’s screen!)
3. Launch Oxygen Pro Firmware Update.exe
4. Load Oxygen Pro.DAT file, press “Update”, and wait for completion. (As mentioned in my video, my update froze.. so I closed “Oxygen Pro Firmware Update” and tried again.. it then worked.)
5. Power off Oxygen Pro.
6. Hold Octave – and + buttons while turning the Oxygen Pro back on.
7. Your Oxygen Pro should have the new firmware. Now you can load your Custom Oxygen Pro Presets, like my Oxygen Pro FL Studio Template.

What Oxygen Pro Firmware Version Am I On?

I cannot find a way to see what version my M-Audio Oxygen Pro is on. I have tried looking through the Oxygen Pro’s settings, as well as within the Oxygen Pro Preset Editor, and even re-loading the Oxygen Pro Firmware Updater with no success of my current version.

If you know a way, let me know and I’ll update this!
