How to Use Portamento in FL Studio

In this tutorial, you’ll learn how to use portamento in FL Studio.

This is an older video when I released my FL Studio Beginner’s series many years back, but is still incredibly relevant for how to slide notes in FL Studio with portamento.

How to Slide Notes in FL Studio

FL Studio allows you to easily slide notes with a feature called portamento.

If you’re wondering what portamento does, it allows you to slide (pitch bend) between notes.

Portamento is incredibly powerful for creating leads which sound full in dance music (as you heard the beat in the video)

Here’s how you set up portamento to create slide notes in FL Studio:

In the Channel rack, you simply click on a sound, then click the wrench (Miscellaneous Functions).

You will not be able to access the Miscellaneous Functions tab if using an audio clip (See image below)
