Hi Riley, hope you’re doing well I finally have a computer again and some much-needed free time, so I want to get back into FL Studio. Do you have any experience—good or bad—with the new FL Studio 25.2.5? Thanks for your time and answer.

I’m still on FL Studio 2024 I think – waiting to release my next beat tape before upgrading.

I think you should be safe upgrading to latest and continuing from there – there’s been some cool upgrades like adding mixer tracks as you go (which reduces come CPU usage I think).

What computer did you get?  A pre-built, or did you pick your parts and build it!

I built it with some older parts mainly due to prices on current equipment being out of control. Luckily these parts are still very viable for many things including gaming and music. My only complaint is ram as I’m limited to 16 gigs but it’s better than nothing.

Glad to hear you’re still making beats, I look forward to hearing what you cooked up.

Very excited to start focusing on music again as the past year has been very stressful.

Yeah I’d go ahead and use the latest version Alberto.

And 16 GB RAM is more than sufficient for music production!

What matters is that your system is handling what you’re throwing at it, without holding you back.  I usually try to hold on to old equipment, which has come in handy for myself as well with current prices.  (Allowing you to piece together things, or have back up parts in case anything fails).
