Why I Created This Course
From Electrician to FL Studio Teacher
I discovered beatmaking in 2009 at a friend's house.. I was an apprentice electrician at the time.
He showed me the software producers use to make the beats you hear on the radio, and I could not stop thinking about it!
So I started with the free FL Studio trial (it's the FULL version, it only restricts re-opening your saved projects), and a couple months later I bought FL Studio Signature Edition.
I still remember standing at that checkout thinking, "Am I really buying a music program?" I knew nothing about making beats.. I just loved the music.
After work I'd put hours into learning production. I started a website (Beatstruggles.com, which is now itsGratuiTous.com), wrote music production articles, and found the thing I actually loved: TEACHING.
YouTube tutorials were a lot of work for very little pay, but students kept telling me my videos made things simple. So I started making full courses.
Sales grew slowly (I'm a teacher, not a marketer!) but before I knew it I'd made 5 courses, then 10, and today the platform holds over 35 FL Studio courses. 🙂
But Where Do You Start?
Music production is overwhelming. There's an enormous amount to learn, and no obvious order to learn it in.
That's exactly what this bundle fixes for a beginner:
- How to learn FL Studio fast (and the settings that actually matter)
- How to make your first beats with FL Studio
- Whether FL Studio is the best DAW for you
- How to organize your producer environment from day one
- How to become an original producer, not a preset-clicker
My goal is simple: get you to the point where you DON'T NEED TUTORIALS ANYMORE, where you can make your own style of music from scratch.
This course and book are the fastest way I know to start.
