Hey Adam! So I just need to clarify what you mean, because there’s a lot of different terminology out there in regards to electronic drum kits, virtual drums, and the way how I show how to make beats within the platform (one-shot drum samples from sound packs).
Are you meaning how to record an electronic drum set into FL Studio?
Or.. how to play virtual drums like XLN Audio Addictive Drums 2 in FL Studio?
If you’re talking about recording electrotonic drum kit into FL Studio, then it seems like you can just plug in USB into your computer.. or the sound module can be recording into an audio interface.
I’ve never owned a virtual drum set, nor am I a drummer.. (I’m a beatmaker!).. so fill me in on some more details and I’ll try to guide you through the process for the best FL Studio workflow with what you’re wanting to do here.
For clarity of others reading, the way how I show to make beats in the platform is with one-shot drum samples that are found in a sound pack that you’d purchase. These individual one-shot sounds are used to build a custom drum loop. This is done within FL Studio using the digital .WAV sounds (pre-recorded one-shot sounds), then we create patterns with MIDI Notes which trigger these individual kicks, claps, snares, hi-hats etc.
