I forgot to say that when using a drum machine you have to setup your patterns in its sequencer, but I like seeing everything all at once using the grid. You can see the bars representing patterns, but seeing the drums drawn on the grid in context of the whole seems to be easier. That is just me.

If you don’t have much money you don’t need to spend money on a drum VST, just use FL Studio–it has everything you need.
