I think this is horrible advice.

This causes the beatmaker MORE WORK.. why only use 1 instrument to make a beat, then you have to GO BACK.. to change the sounds?

When you make the beat, focus on wise sound selection.  This means trying to get sounds to stand out by them self, even before mixing starts.. then in the mixing stage you’re simply “enhancing” your beat, rather than doing heavy processing.

Remember, you can play up higher or lower in the octaves to take advantage of your whole FREQUECY SPECTRUM when beatmaking.

Be careful out there with these “beatmaking tips” nowadays..
