A trick I like to use to add change-up to my track is make unique.
If you’re only creating 4 beat loops, this leaves no room for change-up to your loop! It makes your track sound super repetitive!
So here’s what I like to do with make unique. First create your drum loop. Then apply make unique while adjusting just a few notes.
Switch back and forth throughout your arrangement from the original loop to the new loop. It will give your track more elements to listen to!
P.S. – If you want more info on creating powerful drum loops, check out my music course called Foundational Drum Loop Basics.
