Goals, Dreams, Motivation

As you look at your lives, what are your goals? What motivates you? Do you have dreams to become that “fireman, professional hockey player, or even a producer/rapper?”

Some people are just born with a natural dream inside of them that they will continue to pursue until the day they die. Me personally, my dream is to do this music for Jesus and make it my career. I was not born with this dream and I do not want to be “famous”. I do not want to be the one on stage getting all the glory, although I want to reach others with my message from my music.

What motivates you guys? When you wake up in the morning, are you as eager as you can possibly be, that motivation inside of you is literally bubbling so hard that you just can’t wait for tomorrow? When this motivation comes, it is more than just a gift. It is a God-given gift that is unexplainable to others who are not motivated the same way you are.

In my walk with Jesus I have to continually keep handing things over to Him. You ask why? Well I honestly get so motivated I have to keep working until the job is done. As I hand things over to Him, He brings everything together as I include Him in my work. (Sound packs, beats, songs, life events, etc.)

My buddy told me to write down my goals and they will start to become real. The next day I thought about what I want to accomplish with “realistic” goals. I wrote down, “sell my first sound pack in one week” — Turns out 3 days later I sold one. Goals really are a big part of life. They give us motivation, opportunities, and most of all something to work towards. When we eventually reach that goal, at first it was just a thought, but now turned to reality.

As you are reading this, I’m telling you to do the same thing my buddy told me. Write down “realistic” goals that you can achieve if you put your mind to it, with some effort, and yes, hard work will be involved.

But we do have to be careful about the goals we set! Sometimes our goals can easily control our lives and mindsets. They can push people out of our lives and create lots of stress! Not just stress for yourself, but many times others.

My goal at the moment is “Get my heart right with God”. My heart will never be right with God. You may ask, “why can your heart never be right with God?”.

Well my answer is, I’m human. I make mistakes, I have emotions such as anger, jealousy, lust etc. But as I get these emotions, I continually hand them over to the Lord and ask Him to cleanse my heart and make me clean from those evil thoughts, which in the end, I will continue to work to my goal, which is:

“Get my heart Right with God”
