In this article we’re going to look at some of the BEST free reverb plugins to use in FL Studio.
Reverb is a such a powerful tool as a producer, allowing huge emotion, and sometimes just magically makes a sound fit in the mix that much better.
In all honesty, Fruity Reeverb 2 that comes stock with FL Studio is actually a really good reverb. It provides a lot of parameters that not many other reverb plugins do, such as predelay, and even a mod parameter which modulates the reverb time to break-up the metallic ringing reverbs can have!
But, having different plugins allows for more creativity sometimes, so let’s get into our best free reverb plugins list for FL Studio:
- Reverb SOLO – Acon Digital (Windows + Mac)
- OrilRiver – Denis Tihanov (Windows + Mac)
- epicVerb – VarietyofSounds (Windows – 32-Bit Only)
- SAFE Reverb – Semantic Audio (Windows + Mac)
- OldSkoolVerb – Voxengo (Windows + Mac)
- Ambience – Smartelectronix (Windows + Mac)
Reverb is a very powerful tool.
It’s so powerful that too much of it can actually wreck your mix!
Don’t be afraid to apply reverb, but just be mindful to the amount of reverb you are applying. Reverb is known to clog up a mix!
You can sculpt this reverb even further by having a send/parallel track and applying EQ to remove some lows, low-mids, and high’s of the reverb to help the the mix sound better.
My recommendation above from the list above?
I honestly like the Fruity Reeverb 2 by Image-Line (creators of FL Studio), but I’d probably go with OrilRiver by Denis Tihanov.
